Reckless Exuberance is an adventurous journey into knitting, accessories and how they collide in Allysha Coghlan’s head. A recent textile design graduate, Allysha creates knitted accessories through a spontaneous and instinctive process of exploration. Colour and pattern are of utmost importance to her designs. Each piece Allysha creates is made on her beautiful, old domestic knitting machine and by hand from her studio in Brunswick. This venture began in 2010 inspired by unbridled enthusiasm and innate creativity. Remember being a child… having no fear and being ruled by curiosity and wonder. Reckless Exuberance is about capturing this through its organic approach to design and the unique knitwear it produces. This label aims to inspire individualism, to remind people to be playful and adventurous and to embrace the exuberant being inside them.
